Lavender Sage Soap Recipe

This soap recipe is based on a 1 pound (16 oz /  453.59 g) batch. Here we tested the Lavender Sage fragrance from Natures Garden.

Please be sure to go to SoapCalc.net to run the numbers through again to be sure the numbers are accurate for this recipe (typos can happen).

Basic soap making knowledge and proper safety gear/precautions is necessary as this is not a tutorial, I am simply sharing my recipe with you and the fragrance results.

If you decide to substitute ANY of the oils or butters, you must run it through the soap calculator as this will change the amount of lye/water you will need.

Lavender Sage soap by Bonny Bubbles

We have this soap superfatted at 7% (you can adjust that if you wish).  I like my lye and oils to be in the temperature range of 80-100 F.

Lard                   272.16 g  ( 9.60 oz)       (60%)

Coconut Oil      108.86 g   ( 3.84 oz )      (24%)

Shea Butter        45.36 g   ( 1.60 oz )      (10%)

Castor Oil           27.22 g   .96 oz)         ( 6 %)

These are all measured by weight

------------------------------------

Water            172.36 g    (6.08 oz)

Lye/ Sodium Hydroxide    62.92g    (2.22 oz)

These are all measured by weight

------------------------------------

Optional  Additives

Sodium Lactate         2 tsp

Buttermilk powder     1 tsp

Goat Milk powder      2 tsp

Kaolin Clay                1 tsp

Fragrance    1 oz  - by weight  per pound of soap (so for this recipe .5 oz - 1 oz, your preference) or leave unscented if you wish.

NOTE: If using milks in liquid form, be sure to deduct your liquid milk amount from your water amount. For ex: if your adding 1 oz of liquid milk, be sure to take 1 oz of water away from the recipe.

~  I often use liquid milks, but when I use powdered milks of any kind (cream, buttermilk, goat milk) I absolutely love these from Amazon http://amzn.to/2nih0RF

Allow to cure for 4-6 weeks,  then enjoy!

Love Everything !

I am in love with ALL the scents that I get from Bonnie Bubbles. I would like to see them bring back the SOLID perfumes. THEY WERE ALWAYS MY FAVORITE. But... I have no complaints.

Powder power!

Great stuff - Smells great, very smooth and free of bad stuff. Can't beat that!

Phenomenal

The best powder out in the marketplace. I stay away from talc because of safety concerns plus allergic to cornstarch products.
Bonny Bubbles is a great product with SO Many options. Talc and cornstarch free. Love all the options with quick fulfillment.
A great small business I am happy to support!!

Body powder- Barber Shop/Platinum

Very good body powder! Used it at the gym and kept me dry.

Men’s body powder

REALLY REALLY enjoyed them and my friends enjoyed them too! Overall my top 3 were BARBER SHOP 201, PLATINUM, and lastly KOOL WATER. I tried Barbershop, platinum, Kool Water, Sacred, Silver Burch, Boomerang. It kept me dry and lasts pretty long!
